I wrote this music from many starting points, but always with a particular sound in mind.
As a musical child of the 60's I have always had guitar envy: the sensuous power and expressiveness of the instrument is so different from the black-and-white right angles of the piano.
I have loved the electric bass since the first time I understood what Paul McCartney was doing down there.
And who can live without drums?
Steve, Ed, and Mike brought their full powers to this project. I could not be happier with the result. I was so lucky to have their commitment and musicality. They brought my ideas to life in the way I had always imagined. Thanks to them and Peter for capturing it all.
